Biological Medical Research Unit - Refurbishment

Client: University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust / Project Value 195k

“Extensive strip out, refurbishment and updating of a major medical research unit.”

Strip out existing partitions and suspended ceilings; install new electrical & lighting installations, partitions, suspended ceilings and roof lights; fabricate and install reception desks; decoration; undertake DDA works, external cladding, plumbing and soft flooring.

Works and Challenges

The project encompassed three sites and was carefully phased so that once a site was completed the occupants would move into it and release another site for refurbishment.

Commercial moves organised by our client were incorporated into our programme so that each phase was completed before a weekend when the moves were scheduled. We worked closely with our client to ensure that variations were dealt with efficiently and additional resources employed so the required move dates could be achieved.
